One of my favorite parts of being a hairstylist is taking a client’s hair from frustrating to flawless, and that’s exactly what happened with Carlie. With any color correction, my priority is not just fixing the color, but also protecting the integrity of the hair. No one wants a pretty blonde that feels like straw, right? So, we took a strategic approach:

I used one of my favorite highlight placements to bring brightness back to her hair while ensuring a seamless blend into her natural root. The goal was to keep it dimensional while making her blonde look effortless—no more harsh lines!

To create a natural, lived-in look, I did a root melt into her platinum ends. This softens the transition and ensures her blonde will grow out beautifully between appointments. I used Redken Shades EQ to achieve the perfect creamy, balanced blonde—no more unwanted brass!

Because healthy hair is everything, we made sure to do a K18 treatment at every appointment to rebuild her hair’s strength and elasticity from the inside out. This ensured that even with the blonding process, her hair stayed soft, strong, and shiny.
